Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Order & Design Fees

What is the difference between the Setup Fee and the Layout Fee?
  • Product Setup & Digitizing Fee ($45): A one-time technical machine calibration charge. It applies when you provide a flawless, production-ready vector file (.SVG or .AI) that just needs to be scaled and formatted for our lasers and hat presses.
  • Custom Graphic Layout Fee ($85): A creative design charge. It applies when you need our studio to build a layout from scratch using a rough sketch, a photo of an idea, or text inspiration.

Does the Custom Graphic Layout Fee mean I own the digital logo file?
  • No. The Graphic Layout Fee exclusively covers the creative labor required to engineer custom artwork for physical merchandise manufactured directly in our shop. It does not transfer commercial copyright ownership or include the release of master digital vector files for external use.

What is the Commercial Asset Release Fee?
  • Digital File Buyout: If you wish to use a custom design layout engineered by our studio on your own marketing materials, website, or external third-party production lines (such as separate apparel or promo vendors), you must purchase a Commercial Asset Release ($125).
  • What you receive: This converts your physical product layout into a universal digital brand asset, delivering the high-resolution master vector files (.SVG, .EPS, .PDF, and transparent .PNG) with full commercial reproduction rights.

Placing an Order

How do I send you my logo or design?
  • Once your custom order is placed through our storefront, our team will reach out directly via email to collect your artwork files, confirm design details, and guide you through the proofing process.

Will I see a mockup before my items are produced?
Yes! Every custom order receives a digital graphic proof for your approval before any physical work begins.
  • Digital Proofs: Always 100% Free
  • Physical Photo Proofs for Leatherette Patch: If you would like an actual photo of a completed physical patch, this can be added to your order for a $15 Sample Setup Fee which will be billed separately upon request.

Production & Materials

What kind of hats and apparel do you utilize?
  • We pair your custom designs with premium, retail-grade blanks—including industry-standard Richardson trucker hats, high-quality Peter Grimm straw lifeguard hats, soft-brushed cosmetic bags, and top-tier apparel to guarantee a premium finish.

How should I care for my items?

For Leatherette Patches

  • To maximize the lifespan of your custom gear, we strongly recommend spot cleaning or gentle hand-washing only. Avoid submerging leatherette or specialized patch adhesives in harsh laundry cycles or high dryer heat.

For Apparel

How to Machine Wash:

    1. Turn your pressed shirt inside-out before washing.
    2. Separate similar colors, weight, and textures. Make sure to not overfill the washer.
    3. Use mild detergent and avoid bleach with cold water on a gentle cycle. Warm water, harsh detergents, and aggressive wash cycles can damage both the garment and the transfer itself.

    How to Dry:

We recommend hang-drying on a plastic hanger, but a drier works fine if you follow the steps below:

    1. Turn your apparel inside-out before drying.
    2. Separate similar colors, weight, and textures.
    3. Use the lowest possible heat setting or Permanent Press.
    4. Remove promptly
